His brother, Dr. Augustín Nores Martinez, continued the breeding program until the Dogo Argentino gained international recognition in the 1970s. Dogos are large, muscular dogs with short, white coats that may show black pigmentation on the skin. Their expressive dark eyes and broad, powerful heads add to their commanding presence.
