It wasn’t until the late 2010s that the Havapoo became especially sought after for its loving temperament and minimal shedding. Havapoos typically have small, rectangular bodies with soft, wavy to curly coats that can come in a wide variety of colors, including cream, chocolate, black, or apricot. They usually inherit floppy ears and expressive, dark eyes that give them a sweet, teddy bear-like appearance. Personality-wise, Havapoos are gentle, social, and devoted to their families. They get along well with children, other dogs, and even cats, making them one of the most adaptable designer breeds. While not excessively energetic, they enjoy daily walks and play sessions and need both physical and mental stimulation to stay happy. Grooming is relatively easy—brushing once or twice a week and occasional trims are enough to keep their coat soft and tangle-free.
