Originating in Germany, this small yet confident dog was bred to hunt rats in stables and homes. Believed to descend from the Dachshund, German Pinscher, and Italian Greyhound, the Miniature Pinscher quickly gained fame for its fearless attitude and lively personality. Recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1925, the Min Pin now stands as one of the most energetic and self-assured breeds in the Toy group.
Miniature Pinschers are compact and athletic, known for their graceful, high-stepping gait and alert posture.
