The Olde English Bulldogge — often called the OEB — is a modern recreation of the traditional 18th-century Bulldog, designed to capture the breed’s classic look while improving its health, temperament, and athleticism. He later founded the Olde English Bulldogge Association to preserve and promote the breed. The OEB features a broad, athletic frame, a wrinkled face, and a slightly longer muzzle than the modern English Bulldog, which helps improve airflow. Their short, smooth coats can come in brindle, gray, brown, or fawn and are easy to maintain with only occasional brushing and bathing. Olde English Bulldogges are loyal, protective, and eager to please, though a bit stubborn at times — consistent, confident training works best. They thrive on attention and should be given plenty of toys or bones to satisfy their love of chewing. Moderate daily exercise, like a 30-minute walk and playtime, keeps them happy and healthy. While they shed lightly year-round, they are not hypoallergenic.
