Because of their dense coat, Samoyeds are sensitive to heat and should be monitored closely in warm weather. Grooming is intensive — their thick fur should be brushed at least weekly, and daily during shedding seasons. Slicker and pin brushes work best for managing their undercoat. They also need regular baths every 6–8 weeks. Active and affectionate, Samoyeds enjoy daily exercise and family time far more than solitude.
