With its soft, fluffy coat and expressive eyes, the Teddy Bear truly lives up to its “Shichon” nickname. They typically weigh under 15 pounds, inheriting their size from the Shih Tzu parent. Their coats, though low-shedding, require daily brushing to prevent tangles, or weekly brushing if trimmed short. Regular grooming around the eyes every few weeks keeps their vision clear. These dogs have moderate energy levels and love to play — whether it’s romping indoors or taking a relaxed walk around the neighborhood.
