Meet McKayla

I have approximately 15–16 years of hands-on experience caring for and training dogs, and I currently own and operate my own dog-training company, Wild at Heart Dog Training. My dogs are not simply pets; they are part of my family and are loved and cared for like my children. These puppies have been raised with daily attention, handling, socialization, and the beginning foundations of training and potty-training. Finding safe, responsible, permanent homes for them is extremely important to me, so I take the time to get to know prospective owners and make sure each puppy is placed with a family that understands her individual personality and needs. I am also available to offer continued guidance and training support as each puppy grows.

Freya
German Shepherd
Freya
Female
Freya is a one-year-old, exceptionally intelligent, high-energy dog with incredible loyalty and focus. She bonds deeply with her person, and once that bond is formed, her handler becomes the center of her world. When Freya enters work mode, nothing else exists, her full attention remains on her handler and the task in front of her. She is remarkably quick to understand what is being asked of her and genuinely loves learning and working. Freya is highly toy-driven and responds even more enthusiastically to play than food, making toys an excellent reward and training tool for her. She has an amazing temperament, loves playing, and brings tremendous enthusiasm to everything she does. Freya originally came to me for training, but her previous owners never returned for her. She had experienced severe mistreatment before coming into my care and arrived needing safety, patience, and stability. I was also told that she had already been spayed, but I later discovered that this information was incorrect, resulting in an entirely accidental litter. Despite everything Freya endured early in life, she has become an incredibly loving, trusting, and devoted dog. She is now a permanent and deeply loved member of my family.

Kylo Rhen Apollo
Male · 2 years
Kylo is an intensely loyal, hardworking dog who takes his job very seriously. He is a true working dog in every sense, when he enters work mode, he becomes completely focused on his handler and the task in front of him. Working is not simply an activity for Kylo; it is where he is happiest and most fulfilled. He thrives with structure, clear expectations, consistent handling, and a meaningful job to perform. Kylo is a high-drive, intense dog who can be high-strung at times, so it is important that his working needs are understood and respected. At the same time, he has a wonderful off switch and knows how to settle down and relax when the work is finished. Beyond his working ability, Kylo has become an irreplaceable part of our family. He is exceptionally loving and gentle with my son, and the two of them are practically inseparable. Seeing the relationship they share is one of the many reasons Kylo means so much to me. His combination of serious working ability, intense handler focus, loyalty, and gentleness with children makes him an incredibly special dog. Kylo is not content simply existing in the background, he wants a purpose, a close bond with his person, and the opportunity to use his abilities.
