### A Good Home Is Our Priority
I’m a lifelong **dog lover, born and raised in Connecticut**, and my dogs are truly part of my family. Because I travel frequently, I’ve made the difficult decision to reduce the number of dogs I have so that each one can receive the time, attention, and care I believe they deserve.
For me, finding the **right home is far more important than simply finding a home**. I want each puppy to go to a loving, responsible family that understands the commitment of raising a German Shepherd and is prepared to provide the space, time, exercise, companionship, and structure this breed needs.
A **house with a large, secure yard is required**. These puppies are being raised to become active family companions, and I want them to have plenty of room to grow, play, and enjoy life.
You are welcome to **visit before pickup**. I encourage prospective families to come meet the puppies, spend some time with them, and get to know their personalities. I want you to feel comfortable with your decision, and I want to feel confident that each puppy is going to the right family.
### Puppies Will Not Leave Before 8 Weeks
**Puppies will not leave our home before they are 8 weeks old.** This is extremely important to me.
Those additional weeks with their mother and littermates provide valuable experiences that help puppies develop appropriate **social skills, confidence, communication, bite inhibition, and overall behavior**. Their mother teaches them important lessons, and interaction with their littermates helps them learn how to behave appropriately with other dogs.
I believe giving puppies the proper start in life is one of the most important responsibilities a breeder has.
**My goal is simple: to find each puppy a loving, committed home where they will be cherished as a family member for life.**
