Meet Slava Melikov

Hi, I’m Slava, a small-scale Pomsky breeder. I’m not a kennel operation — our dogs live in our home as family, and every litter is raised right in the middle of daily life, with constant handling, household sounds, and plenty of time with people from day one. I take the health side of breeding seriously. Our breedings are planned around progesterone timing, confirmed by ultrasound, and followed with a pre-whelp x-ray so we know exactly what to expect on whelping day. Once the puppies arrive, every pup is weighed daily, and any who fall behind get supplemental feeding until they’re thriving. Puppies are dewormed on schedule, receive their first vaccinations before going home, and are started on a high-quality diet (we feed Orijen) so they’re off to a strong start. Just as important as health is temperament. Pomskies are smart, energetic, and affectionate, and I spend a lot of time with each puppy so they’re confident, well-socialized, and ready to bond with their new family. I’m also selective about who our puppies go to — I want to know they’re headed somewhere they’ll be loved, exercised, and treated as part of the family, just as they are here. Every puppy goes home with a health record, vaccination and deworming history, a sample of their current food, and a breeder who’s happy to answer questions for the life of the dog.
